When times are tough, the arts always seems to be the first thing to go.
When I post this, it seems like things are bad economically everywhere and I see funding and opportunities for arts and creativity cut everywhere.
I say that we need more creativity and arts when times are hard. Wouldn't it be better for the economy if people became more creative and open-minded if more focus was spent on fresh ideas instead of just "conserving" everything? Wouldn't it make people more happy and excited? Don't we need more entertainment when times are hard?
Why do you think we need creativity for? What purpose does art have in our lives and society?
