Crappy art

Crappy art

Here is a great way to become creative, instantly.

Create bad art. Create shitty art. Create tasteless art. Write a song, a poem, or make a painting that is the worst you could create. Create art that are intended to “decorate” your garbage can, on the INSIDE.

This is one of my favourite exercises. It is great fun too. If you are like me, you probably sometimes have this pressure to create a phenomenal MASTERPIECE that no one has EVER done before!!!
So, we end up not doing anything because it is a lot easier to procrastinate. We feel what’s the point? I mean, all masterpieces have already been done. What’s the point of trying to match that? I mean, I can’t do what Mozart did…

Well, obviously those thoughts are pretty useless and it does not make ourselves sing with joy and become more creative. But many of us have these kinds of thoughts anyway, perhaps daily.

So if you find yourself having these kinds of thoughts, this idea will be great for you. You might have heard of the idea before, but now you have a chance to really try it. I promise you will love it.

The funny thing is, that some of the best stuff I have done has been created from this exercise.
Now, PLEASE, don’t expect this. That is not what this exercise is about. This is to have FUN with no pressure and no worries about results. If the art is really horrible, which it probably will be, it just goes in the trash anyway. I’m just saying it can produce good stuff too.

So, go for it and have a blast! Right now! Make some bad art for the trash. Maybe you can post your bad art-experience in the comments so we can all enjoy?

Cheers!
